Treatments

What a massage with Beth is made of

Whether you're seeking a massage for general wellbeing/relaxation or soft tissue aches and pains, a Massage with Beth is an intuitive and creative mix of the following styles/techniques tailored to you and your specific needs/preference.

  • Swedish

Long flowing strokes, rhythmical kneading, static holding, and slow myofascial stretching, to calm the mind, release the body of tension, and lull the senses into relaxation.

  • Deep Tissue

Working slowly with a listening touch so as not to cause discomfort, I use my forearms, elbows, soft fists, thumbs and finger pads to work deeper into layers of muscle tissue.

  • Sports

Focusing on specific muscle groups, overly used in sports (or life!) I incorporate stretching techniques such as active isolated stretching and soft tissue release.

  • Clinical

When treating chronic soft tissue pain, I use myofascial triggerpoint therapy to find, soften and release taut bands or hyperirritable 'knots'or trigger points within the fascia.

  • Hot stones

The gentle heat of Basalt river stones shaped to fit the contours of the body are an extension of my hands, softening tight constricted fascia, soothing tired, achy muscles.

  • Indian Head

Concentrating on upper back, head, neck shoulders and face where we tend too carry emotional stress, aches/pains from poor posture.

  • Pregnancy

Suitable from 12 weeks to full term, pregnancy massage is performed in a side lying position with plenty of pillows for support.

  • Aromatherapy

A blend of 3 essential oils, extracted from herbs, trees, and flowers, chosen for you and your reason for visit.

  • Reflexology

Using my thumbs I apply pressure deeply yet sensitivity over the soles of feet, to stimulate reflex points/clear energy pathways that correspond to different organs/systems of the body.

  • Facial

    Listed on Beth's Treatments page.

About

A holistic approach

I am a level 5, fully insured, FHT accredited massage therapist offering high quality bespoke massage treatments from my home in Brighton.

"I provide a safe tranquil environment in which to ground into the present moment, and reconnect with yourself and your body. With an experienced listening touch, I soften muscular tension/ areas of myofascial restriction, improving circulation and oxygenation of soft tissues. I hellp to calm the mind, release emotional stress, and remind the nervous system what it is to feel safe so healing can take place."

It may be that certain areas feel more tender, especially if there is a lot of tension or I'm treating trigger points, but I will always work with you, and your level of comfort, so your massage will never be painful.

I recently passed my 200hr yoga teacher training qualification and I'm really excited to start incorporating yoga into my massage work with you.

"Beth is brilliant! I live in London but regularly stay in Brighton and every time a massage with Beth is what I look forward to the most. Beth is incredibly knowledgeable about the body and people, and has been able to work with great specificity and care every time I've visited. I really love picking essential oils that suit the mood or state I'm looking to provoke and every experience is just so memorable and unique while totally reliable. I already can't wait for my next treatment! Thanks Beth."

About this preview

What this page is, and isn't

This is a one-page prototype, built in an afternoon from what is publicly on massagewithbeth.wordpress.com. It is a taste of the direction, not the final thing; the real build would be considerably more detailed.

A full build would carry Beth's own pages

  • Home
  • About
  • My journey with massage
  • The benefits of massage
  • FAQ'S
  • Treatments
  • Prices & Availability
  • Testimonials
  • Contact

Plus own photography, every treatment written up in full, live booking on Beth's diary, SEO and analytics, the complete price list and working contact forms.

Placeholders on this page

  • The days and times in the booking picker are illustrative. Nothing submits and nothing has been booked.
  • Only three of Beth's Google reviews are set here, transcribed word for word from the images on the Testimonials page; the full build would carry the rest.
  • Treatment descriptions are shortened from Beth's Treatments page; the full build would carry each in full.
  • The two photographs are Beth's own. There is no portrait on this page because none is published.
  • The street address shown on Beth's current site is left off this preview until Beth confirms it should be published here.
